The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has announced flooding in the southern region Continues in 8 provinces and 52 districts.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported the latest flood situation in the South as of December 3, 2015, at 6:00 a.m. Flooding   continues  in 8 southern provinces: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat, totaling 52 districts, 284 subdistricts, and 1,911 villages. 686,123 households, 1,718,410 people, were affected. Water levels continued to fall in all areas.

     Today (December 3, 2015, at 10:30 a.m.), Mr. Thirapat Kachmat, Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, revealed that, based on monitoring of the flood situation in the southern region (as of 6:00 a.m., December 3, 2015), flooding remains in eight southern provinces: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. The situation covers 52 districts, 284 sub-districts, and 1,911 villages, affecting 686,123 households and 1,718,410 people.

Surat Thani Province still has a situation in 4 districts: Khiansa, Phrasaeng, Ban Na San and Phunphin, totaling 12 sub-districts and 18 villages, with 675 households affected. Water levels are decreasing.

Nakhon Si Thammarat Province still has a situation in 8 districts: Cha-uat, Mueang, Chaloem Phra Kiat, Hua Sai, Thung Yai, Pak Phanang, Phra Phrom, and Chian Yai, totaling 38 sub-districts, 254 villages, with 57,070 households affected. Water levels are decreasing.

Trang Province still has a situation in 9 districts: Na Yong, Huai Yot, Ratsada, Yan Ta Khao, Wang Wiset, Kantang, Mueang, Si Phao, and Palian, totaling 66 sub-districts and 482 villages, with 23,152 households affected. Water levels are decreasing.

Phatthalung Province still has a situation in 6 districts: Mueang, Khuan Khanun, Khao Chaison, Bang Kaeo, Pak Phayun, and Pa Bon, totaling 12 sub-districts and 42 villages, with 7,899 households affected. Water levels are decreasing.

Songkhla Province still has a situation in 16 districts: Rattaphum, Mueang, Chana, Khlong Hoi Khong, Ranot, Krasae Sin, Sathing Phra, Hat Yai, Khuan Niang, Na Thawi, Singhanakhon, Na Mom, Bang Klam, Sadao, Thepha, and Saba Yoi, totaling 127 subdistricts and 997 villages, with 582,053 households affected. Water levels are decreasing.

Pattani Province still has a situation in 2 districts, Nong Chik and Muang, totaling 10 sub-districts and 9 villages, with 1,651 households affected. Water levels are decreasing.

Yala Province still has a situation in 3 districts: Muang, Raman and Yala, including 5 sub-districts and 8 villages, with 1,436 households affected. Water levels are decreasing.
